WHY? By providing a healthy, full-grown cow to the Project R12 community, an immediate impact would be made in the lives of the people. The cow produces both milk and manure which can be sold at the local market. The cow can produce a minimum of $900 a year in milk while also producing an average of $100 a year in manure. The milk can also be used for feeding and cooking while the manure can also be used to fertilize the crops. The purchase of the cow will be reinvested in the local community because the cow will be purchased from a local Ugandan farmer and not an outside source.
